St Pius X Parish - Our Lady of Hope Pastoral Area
St Pius X School is connected to a wider Catholic community through our relationship with St Pius X Parish and the Our Lady of Hope Pastoral Area.
This Pastoral Area brings together four local parishes: Our Lady of Hope (Tawa-Titahi Bay), St Theresa’s (Plimmerton), Holy Family (Porirua East), and Te Ngākau Tapu (the Personal Parish for Māori).
These parishes collaborate and share resources to better serve the community. For example, children from across the four parishes often celebrate Sacraments like First Holy Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation together, allowing them to experience these special occasions with a larger group and benefit from the combined talents and support of each parish.
The priests and Pastoral Area Council meet regularly to discuss how the parishes can work even more closely together.
